PRESS RELEASE: Canadian Yvette A Elliott Being Recognized Globally for Modernizing the Age-old Marketing Mix Model

Yvette A. Elliott Earns a Finalist Spot at the 2024 Women Changing the World Awards

OAKVILLE, ONTARIO, MAY 6, 2024, Canada's Yvette A. Elliott has been selected as an award finalist for the 2024 Women Changing the World Global Awards - Thought Leader category for her work “The new P is Platforms - Modernizing the 4P's Marketing Mix Model for today's Intelligence Era” taking place in London, United Kingdom on May 25, 2024 presented by Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York and Oprah Winfrey’s all-time favourite guest, Dr. Tererai Trent.

Yvette introduces a seismic shift to the traditional 4 P’s of marketing model - Product, Place, Price and Promotion - by adding a new framework component - ‘Platforms’.  Yvette’s modernization of the marketing framework shakes up the age-old “holy-grail" of the 4P’s Marketing Model, a standard that has been largely unchanged since the television era of the 1960’s.  Her revision standardizes the monumental role of technology in marketing today.

‘Platforms’, coined by Yvette Elliott, refers to the tools, applications, and software that marketers employ to plan, execute, manage, and measure marketing strategies, programs, tactics, and administration. This formal addition to the 4 P’s of Marketing is a strategic response to the increasingly fragmented approach to the integration of technology across all business operations. Unlike traditional marketing operations, which focus on the execution and management of marketing activities, ‘Platforms’ emphasizes the strategic and cohesive use of technology.

“Formally updating the marketing framework with ‘Platforms' fills a significant void left by the traditional 4P’s model.  Technology in marketing has been seen as tactical and the next generation of marketers are disadvantaged with the current fragmented approach to incorporating technology into marketing both in business and in their formal education. My hope is that this framework reset ensures a more strategic and integrated use of technology in marketing, benefiting the current and future generations of marketing professionals. I’m honored to be recognized as aThought Leader of the Year finalist for the Women Changing the World Awards.  Let’s not just adapt to change - let’s drive it. ” says Yvette A. Elliott.

Dr. Trent explains, “These exceptional women are here to awaken hearts, give permission to recapture dreams and inspire the women of the world to come together to forge a brighter path for all. The rising of women is the awakening of everybody.”

Dr. Trent’s vision for these awards is to empower women everywhere to reclaim their sacred dreams and call on women across the globe to unite and pave the way towards a better future for all.   Yvette Elliott is a thought leader who doesn’t just raise the bar – she reimagines it.
